Halo Reach Daily Challenges 23/04/2011

Light Fare – Kill 100 enemies in any game mode in Reach – 1000cR

Nice and simple. Just kill things in the game. Custom Firefight, Campaign or any match made game by Bungie. Loads of ways, choose your favourite.

Pass the Rock – Earn 20 assists today in multiplayer Matchmaking – 1500cR

A lot of assists there. Best thing to do is enter a game with a friend and focus on getting assists. Best way to do that is to shield pop an enemy and then let your friend finish him. Best ways of shield popping are Plasma Pistol and a melee hit. Another thing that's good to have is armour lock, that'll make you invincible while your friend takes them out.

Not as Clumsy or Random… – Earn 5 kills with precision weapons in a multiplayer Matchmaking game – 1000cR

SWAT & Snipers are good games here, both give you precision weapons for quick kills. 5 Kills in a slayer game isn't hard at all so go for it. If you're finding that the quick deaths isn't your things, Invasion is also good, lots of time to get the kills you need.

Just a Shower – Complete any Campaign mission on Normal or harder with Thunderstorm on – 2000cR

Normal with Thunderstorm on isn't as hard Heroic. So up top you'll see a few Deathless Legendaries and you'll also find a couple of LASO challenges in the archive. In all honesty though, there's no indication that you need to restart if you die, so just go through your favourite mission, or quickest mission. Have fun.

Halo Reach Daily Challenges 22/04/2011

Fire When Ready – Kill 30 enemies in multiplayer matchmaking, 1100cR

Doesn't need to be done in one sitting so easy stuff. Just play for a while and this will be done easily.

Explosive Ordnance Distribution – Earn 3 kills with ordnance weapons in a matchmaking game. 1000cR

Roackets, Grenade Launcher & Concussion Rifle are the weapons you want, and where are they all available, Invasion.

Better, Closer, Warmer – Earn at least 10 kills in a multiplayer matchmaking game. 1200cR

You can do this in regular Slayer, but once again, objective games where you're not hindered by the amount of kills you can get, best option. Grifball & Invasion is where I would play today.

Close Talking – Earn 40 kills with closer quarters combat in matchmaking. 1300cR

Your fist, Swords, Hammers & Shotguns are what you need. So run up to them and hitrt them with whatever you got. Invasion gives you the Shotty & Sword so that's a good way to start, also living dead, Zombies have Swords, Humans Have Shotgun (And pistols but whatever).

Halo Reach Daily Challenges 21/04/2011

Firefight Thursday

One Spartan Army – Kill 150 enemies in Firefight Matchmaking – 1125cR

Easy stuff here, just a couple of games of Firefight or Scoreattack. Go for other challenges, one of them requires you to kill 200 enemies. So this one, already got if you go for the rest.

A Simple Spree – Earn any spree in Firefight Matchmaking – 1000cR

10 kills is a simple thing. The first round is usually grunts an there's usually 20 of them. So yeah, no trouble. At least I hope not.

Just Hold On… – Complete 6 rounds in Firefight Matchmaking without dying – 1500cR

If this is in one game, you'll need to head into Firefight. Just be careful, let your allies take the brunt of the attack and use your head. Rocketfight, don't accidentally run behind cover and shoot, or jet pack behind cover as it usually is and shoot. Take it slow.

Scoped – Kill 200 enemies in Firefight Matchmaking with precision weapons – 1500cR

Gruntpocolypse, always nice for the DMR. Though most gametypes leave the enemy at a disadvantage for a while so weapons are very powerful.

Today there's not much to say. All very simple, nice and basic.

Halo Reach Daily Challenges 20/04/2011

Light Fare - Kill 100 enemies in any game mode in Reach - 1000cR

Nice and simple. 100 kills is less than a full game of Scoreattack. Just stick to the other challenges and finish this one off with other games depending on how many more kills you need. If you're only a few off, just campaign it.

Flat Tire - Kill 5 enemy vehicles in Firefight Matchmaking - 1000cR

Down from the usual 10 which is very nice. Holdout will give you at least 1 Banshee, depending on time spent it can give you many more. If you just keep a good Banshee destroying weapon you'll be fine.

Other good maps are Unearthed, I've seen a vehicle on that map, and Beachhead. Large maps are often best. It will be a bit of luck though.

Leadership Element - Kill 45 enemy leaders in the Campaign today - 1100cR

Leaders are generally Elites. Good missions are Long Night of Solace (Rally Point Bravo Onwards) & Nightfall (Many large collections of Elite throughout the mission). There are other good maps such as ONI Sword Base & The Package but I find LNOS & ONI work best.

The Love of the Game - Complete 17 games in multiplayer Matchmaking - 1850cR

That's a lot of games for a weekday. Best place to head is into the Actions Sack area of Matchmaking. Grifball, Haloball, Hockey, SpeedFlag. They really take no time at all to complete (Well, Hockey can take an age as can Grifball on occasion). Any game type you can do fast is fine though. Just don't quit.

Halo Reach Daily Challenges 19/04/2011

LASO is out of the way. Tried a bit of New Alex yesterday. The first place was the Club. In, grab Jet pack, Grab Rockets, Hit Switch, Leg it. Still ad most of my Shields & All Health. That mission is easy enough to do, the only real challenging bit is taking out the jammer at the Hospital. I'll also say getting that Pelican/Phantom would be a good idea too. But enough of that, we still have 2 weeks till that is required and I will have my own strategy. I'll be useful :D

Anyway, moving swiftly on. First of all, don't forget that you can message me on twitter with an @HattedHaolFox if you want to confirm something or tell me I'm wrong somewhere. I will get around to answering you

Covenant-cide - Kill 120 enemies in Firefight Matchmaking -1100cR

What you want is some Scoreattack x2. Gives you a nice 125-130 enemies with you being moderately powerful. Take your time, make sure that the enemies don't accidentally kill themselves. A few too many stupid grunts can ruin your challenge game.

One Game, One Spawn – Complete a Firefight Matchmaking game without dying – 2000cR

Where as for the last challenge you're looking to kill everything, now you want to be careful. Getting yourself caught out by a random grenade can be annoying. Even more so when you're close to the end. Best shot is to pick a game where the enemies are weak, thing Sniperattack or Gruntpocolypse. Play is safe with a Hologram to distract, Sprint/Evade to escape or a Bubble shield to heal, hide and use as an extra layer of cover the Covenant need to shoot through to get to you.

The Little Guys – Kill 125 Grunts in Campaign today on Normal or harder – 1000cR

Exodus has many Grunts and with LASO, you'll probably see them quite a few times. Winter Contingency, ONI Sword Base, all very good levels, filled with Grunts and easy ways to kill them.

Freelancing – Earn at least 21 kills in a multiplayer Matchmaking game – 2100cR

This one is a bit of a tough one. 21 kills isn't what you'd get in your usual Slayer games. Objective is the way to go, no limits on your ills there, just the time you can get them in. Invasion gives you a large amount of time, anywhere up to 25 minutes of carnage. Grifball, another good one that's easy to get kills in and those games can last up to 15 minutes.

Halo Reach Weekly Challenge 18/04/2011 Exodus: LASO

Exodus: LASO

Complete Exodus, Legendary, All Skulls On (LASO)

15000cR

Well I guess this one was obvious. Through most of the beginning you've only got Grunts. A couple of Jackals show up too but nothing your pistol and headshots can't handle. As per usual though, heading you right on over to

http://halo.bungie.org/gameplay/reach_mythic/ex.html

They know what they're talking about. Usually I just like to play co-op with my usual partner and just take a hammer to it. We eventually get there.

Halo Reach Daily Challenges 18/04/2011

More than a Handful – Kill 25 enemies in multiplayer Matchmaking – 1000cR

Nice and simple, 2-3 games of the usual slayer, gametypes, a bit less for the objectives (if you set your main objective to killing) and certainly less for Grifball. Grifball & Multi-Team are where I put my money, usually you can get 25 kills in one game.

I’m Rubber, You’re Glue – Earn 1 sticky grenade Kills in a multiplayer Matchmaking game – 1000cR

All you need is one true shot. Invasion gives you plenty of grenades and because time isn't a factor here, that's all you need. The closer you are, the better your chance. If you throw as the melee you, you've got the maximum close distance and if you're looking at them, just throw one.

There Are Many Like – Kill 200 enemies with precision weapons in the Campaign today – 1500cR

Nightfall & ONI Swordbase are the better options here. The both give you large amounts of Precision weapon ammo. If you find a good spot, revert to last saved and keep hitting them.

Earn a Triple Kill in Multiplayer Matchmaking – 1000cR

The weak player, chaotic games are, once again, good. Grifball & Living Dead. Although, with only the one required, it's not that necessary. Most game types are fine. Objective is once again the good one you want to play, you know where they'll be heading.

Halo Reach Daily Challenges 17/04/2011

Blastin' and Relaxin' - Kill 180 enemies in any game mode in Reach - 1350cR

Not overly challenging, not challenging at all really. Just play and go for the other challenges. It's asking you to play at least one game of Firefight and Multiplayer. So as always, leave this one till the end.

Golden Opportunity - Find and kill the Gold Ranger-class Elite in any Campaign mission on Heroic or harder - 2500cR

http://www.videogamesblogger.com/2010/09/29/halo-reach-golden-elites-locations-guide-xbox-360.htm

I don't have my own guide so here you go.

Survivor - Earn 9 Sprees in a Firefight Matchmaking game - 1000cR

I would say Sniperattack on Beachhead would do you well here. The Ghost is useful for getting a few splatters and the Sniper has its own set of sprees so after 30 kills (15 kills with each) you'll then get 3 killing sprees on top of that. So minimal kills, 30.

Streaky Shooter - Earn 5 sprees in multiplayer Matchmaking - 1250cR

Not on one game so rather easy. Quick ways to get sprees, enter gametypes where the enemies are weak. If you can kill 10 Zombies in a single round of Living dead with at least 5 being from the shotgun, that'll give you the sprees you need. Grifball can work, although, a bit easier to make a mistake in that gametype. You can also just play multiplayer, Killing sprees, certain weapon sprees, spawn sprees and even assist sprees will just come.
