Halo Reach Daily Challenges 05/03/2011

Very Short & Sweet today.

One Spartan Army - Kill 250 enemies in Firefight Matchmaking - 1875cR

2 Games of Scoreattack (Provided you reach the end and kill them all)

This is My Rifle... - Earn 20 kills with precision weapons in multiplayer Matchmaking - 1000cR

20 over the entire day. SWAT, Snipers, Invasion, any game where you spawn with a DMR, Sniper or Needle Rifle (There are a few)

Freelancing - Earn at least 23 kills in a multiplayer Matchmaking game - 2300cR

This is the tricky one. I would say either try for a Multi-Team Objective game or Grifball. Both are once again at a high kill average per game (Provided you make the game go on long enough)

Un, Deux, Trois - Win 3 games in multiplayer Matchmaking - 1450cR

Just win them. Play Slayer gametypes where the chances of winning are much higher than the chances of Drawing.

That's it, I'm off. have a pleasant day.

Halo Reach Daily Challenges 04/03/2011

Light Fare - Kill 100 enemies in any game mode in Reach - 1000cR

Nice ans simple. 100 kills in Halo Reach however you want. Play some Multiplayer. Get those 100 put towards your weekly challenge (That is, if you haven't already completed it already)

Helping Hand - Earn 10 assists today in multiplayer Matchmaking - 1000cR

10 assists over the day, not too hard provided you play with a friend. Travel with them and let them know who you're hitting. Once you've popped their shield (With a punch or gun it makes no difference) let them know it's their turn to grab the quick kill. Headshots or a second punch will take 'em out.

Twin Trips - Earn 2 Triple Kills in the same match in multiplayer Matchmaking - 2000cr
The Dream Shake - Earn 4 Double Kills in the same match in multiplayer Matchmaking - 2000cR

2 Triples and 4 Doubles. Time to Multikill. Multi-Team is rather nice gametype to play. Now with 3 per team the Chaos is a bit subsided but it's still there. Grifball, once again is a nice one. The chaos is certainly there although it's personal preference.

Halo Reach Daily Challenges 03/03/2011

Covenant-cide – Kill 120 enemies in Firefight Matchmaking – 1100cR

120 = 2 games of Scoreattack. Firefight will vary. Have fun.

Weapon Swap – Earn 10 sprees in a Firefight Matchmaking game on Heroic or harder – 1000cR
A Heroic Breach – Kill 100 enemies on Corvette on Heroic in Firefight Matchmaking – 1000cR
The T.G. Opposition – Kill 70 enemies in Firefight Matchmaking with the Shotgun – 1250cR

Separately, they're simple and rather basic, no help needed, so let's spice it up.

Now, here's the challenge. Can you get, all 3 of these challenges in one go. Short answer, yes. It'll be a challenge within a challenge but it'll be worth a go. First thing to do is select Corvette in Scoreattack and select, Scoreattack. Spawn with the shotgun and wait by the spawn area. Grunts will come to you. Once they start to arrive, pick up all the Plasma grenades and keep sticking them. These will be the 2 weapon sprees (Shotgun & Sticky Spree).

The other case is to keep killing with the shotgun and get 70 kills with it. This will give you 5 killing spree medals plus the challenge completed. By now though, you'll probably be on Skirmishers. Hard to kit with a shotgun but give them a smack with butt first and that'll stun them. Throw grenades to force them to roll and stop shooting if it gets a bit much.

Finally, if you manage to reach 100 kills, that'll be the last medal and also you'll be nearing the Elites. Grab a Plasma Pistol, it is required. If you have the Shotgun challenge, switch to Plasma Pistol and Normal Pistol. Headshots are required. If not, get lucky and charge them.

If you do all 3 in one go, congrats. If not. There's always next time round.

Halo Reach Daily Challenges 02/03/2011

Didn't get too much of a boost last night. Marvel Vs Capcom 3 arrived and I played some of that before getting roped into Zombies in Call of Duty. Ah well.

Blastin’ and Relaxin’ – Kill 180 enemies in any game mode in Reach – 1350cR

Simplicity at its best, when it involves killing enemies. Have fun however you want, Multiplayer, Campaign, Firefight, It's all good and all 3 of those take a part in the challenges today.

A Friend in Need – Earn 10 assists in Firefight Matchmaking – 1000cR

Grab a Plasma Pistol Early and start firing away. Even against early level Grunts it'll do a nice block of damage. once again though, head in with a friend and call out targets. You can't get an assist if no one is there to back you up.

Short, Controlled Bursts – Kill 100 enemies with automatic weapons in the Campaign today – 1000cR

Assault Rifle, Plasma Repeater & Needlers are your weapons you want. Many levels start you off with an AR anyway so just pick one you enjoy and Let 'er Rip. Winter Contingency is always good. Loads of enemies and even more ammo.

Headshot Honcho – Kill 11 enemies with headshots in a multiplayer Matchmaking game – 1320cR

This is a bit of a toughy. You'll want to play Invasion, SWAT or Snipers as per the norm on these challenges. On top of that though, you'll need to be really careful. Invasion will give you more time and more kills but you may not get all those kills as headshots. Humans get the instant advantage with the Pistol. As for SWAT & Snipers, the 50 kill limit can mean it will come down to the final moments.

Halo Reach Daily Challenges 01/03/2011

we're on a new month, first day of Spring, although the weather still looks and feels like Winter. On the plus side, I got myself over 500 multiplayer kills yesterday, boosting myself right up and Grifball remains, so I plan to get my challenge done before Firefight Thursday.

Covenant-cide - Kill 120 enemies in Firefight Matchmaking - 1100cR

Start up a Firefight game, get yourself in some Rocketfight, FRG, Fist, Frag, anything that's explosive, fun and quick. You may not get all of them but you'll take a large chunk out in a short time and you can either finish off with some quick Gruntpocolypse, or with more more explodey firey things.

Demon - Kill 50 Elites in Firefight Matchmaking - 1500cR

Your Firefight games will give you 2/3 waves of heretic Elites. They will wield, small arms, Precision Weapons and then Heavy weapons (Round progressive). A good 15 come out in each wave plus another 15 per round mixed in with other enemies. Sniperattack will give you 4-16 in the final wave and regular Scoreattack will give you 6, it's a good way to finish if you're just a few shy.

Roast 'em, Toast 'em - Kill 35 enemies while jet-packing in Exodus on Normal - 1500

WARNING: Remember, first rule of all Jet Pack Challenges. To get the Firebird medal (The medal for killing an enemy while Jet Packing) you MUST be using the Jet Pack at the time of the kill. Melee & Jet Pack will get you it but firing a rocket while Jet Packing and not using it at the time of the explosion (and kill) will leave you missing out.

Start from Rally Point Alpha, from here, grab the Rocket Launcher from the ODST and a Jet pack. From here, take yourself across the gap and fire away. Once you're out of Rockets, revert to last saved. There are a bunch of Grunts around here and with 3 rockets you can get 10 kills. Throw in a few grenades and you can be done in 3 reverts.

Put Your Quarter Up - Complete 15 games in multiplayer Matchmaking - 1750cR

Rather simple here. Just enter some matchmaking and then finish your game. Grifball & Living Dead are quick games to finish and Grifball will even get you a nice boost to the weekly.

Halo Reach Weekly Challenge 28/02/2011 All in a Week's Work

All in a Week's Work

Kill 1500 enemies in multiplayer Matchmaking this week.

17500cR

1500 enemies is a fair few. However, the time it takes will all depend on the gametypes of your choosing. Sure slayer may seem like an obvious choice, but an average game will get you 10-15 kills (On average) Sure you may score more than that occasionally, but think about it. Those games last 10-15 mins, you're averaging at 1 kill a min, occasionally more, occasionally less.

The gametypes you want to play are the quicker ones and the ones that give you more bang. Living dead is terrible, zombies get very few kills for their effort and if you're lucky and get Human all 3 times, you'll still only get around 30 kills.

Gametypes like Invasion, Multi-Team and Grifball are what you want. Sometimes Invasion can be slow, but you've got to be more aggressive. If you're on Defence, don't wait for them to get to you, launch yourself at them for a surprise early attack.

Multi-Team is carnage. It's short, sweet and filled with bad guys. With people fighting all over the place it's not to hard to find a good fight. Objective gametypes can get you 30+ kills easilly.

Grifball, now, this is the main gametype you'll want to play. Enemies die in 1 hit, if you grab them off guard you can get Overkills+. 40 kills in a game that'll last about 10 mins. You've quadrupled your kill average.

Word of advice though, last time we had a challenge that Grifball really suited, it was taken away. Although this was just due to the timing of the event, it may happen again. My advice is to get a big boost today, play a bunch of Grifball, see what you can get tonight, 500+ would be good because at a steady pace, you need 220 kills per night (ish).

It's up to you how you spread it out, go out and have fun with it though.

Halo Reach Daily Challenge 28/02/2011

More than a Handful – Kill 125 enemies in multiplayer Matchmaking – 2500cR

Nice of them to start us off with this, the weekly being what it is. Gametypes you'll want are Multi-Team and Grifball. Those are the quick earners.

One Spartan Army – Kill 150 enemies in Firefight Matchmaking – 1125cR

Start a game up and have some fun. Rocketfight will get this done in a jiffy.

Headshot Honcho – Kill 9 enemies with headshots in a multiplayer Matchmaking game – 1080cR

Snipers & SWAT are the good gametypes here. Invasion is also a viable option as the longer game times can give you the final boost you need.

Five-time Champ – Win 5 games in multiplayer Matchmaking – 1750cR

Play the game you're good at. Play a game that has a higher chance of finishing in a win or loose rather than a draw. Invasion and Attack & Defend Objective games are quite likely to end in a Stalemate.

Halo Reach Daily Challenge 27/02/2011

Sunday once again, just less than 24 hours left for that weekly challenge.

Light Fare – Kill 100 enemies in any game mode in Reach – 1000cR

Simply done by just killing things in Halo Reach. Not hard and shouldn't need much more explaining than that. Custom Firefights are always good for this. Make a fast game where you have many Elites and you're a 1 man killing machine.

Return of the Mack – Kill 50 Elites in Campaign today on Normal or harder – 1700cR
Short, Controlled Bursts – Kill 50 enemies with automatic weapons in the Campaign today – 1000cR

Once again, very simple and both have a good place to do it, So much so, I'm going to combine them. Start off Winter Contingency and use your Assault Rifle through it all, you'll have this point before you get in the Vehicles where about 6-7 Elites come out. Kill them with your AR and then revert to last save point. Repeat and Complete.

That Pink Mist – Kill 200 enemies with a Supercombine from the Needler or Needle Rifle in Firefight Matchmaking – 1500cR

This one will take a while. Unless you get a gametype with unlimited ammo, this will take a while. Even with unlimited ammo it'll take a while. Best thing to do it conserve ammo and just use it on Brutes mainly. Firefight is a better option, more enemies and more likely chance of Unlimited ammo.
