Halo Reach Daily Challenges 30/04/2011

Blastin' and Relaxin' - Kill 180 enemies in any game mode in Reach - 1350cR

Keeping it simple to start with. 180 enemies in any gametype, Custom Firefight and Campaign are always good way to perform this but once again, best left till the end. You can put some damage on this one doing other challenges.

No 'I' in Team - Earn 6 assists in a multiplayer Matchmaking game - 1500cR

Partner up. The best way to do this is to have a friend and to alternate who gets it. Best thing to do is to get into close combat with your enemy and then either Armour lock or run away, from here, you friend can finish them off from range. Shield popping is the best way of determining if you've done enough damage. Invasion is a good gametype as it gives you a long time to get this as it needs to be done in one game.

Came From Behind - Perform 3 Assassinations in a multiplayer Matchmaking game - 1200cR

Active Camo or speed boosters (Sprint/Evade) are what you want. The ability to get behind an enemy without them knowing will be vital. Try hiding in high up spots and getting the drop on them. Once again, a long time is what you want. Invasion gets my vote once again.

Participation Counts - Complete 4 games in multiplayer Matchmaking - 1200cR

Just play and reach the end of a game. Not hard. I suggest you play the Defiant map pack though if you have it. Reasoning is from Bungie.

And a special message from the Bungie Weekly Update

Welcome to Super Jackpot Weekend #1!

This weekend, for every game you complete in the Defiant Map Pack playlist you will have a chance to win an extra 7,000 credits from a Super Jackpot! You can win the Super Jackpot once a day, so you have the next 3 days to win up to 21,000 in extra credits. The Super Jackpot Weekend will end on Sunday at midnight (Pacific Standard Time). Halo Reach Daily Challenges 29/04/2011

Shootin' and Lootin' - Kill 150 enemies in any game mode in Reach - 1125cR

150 kills, easy stuff. No real challenge but will probably require some work after finishing the other challenges. Custom Firefight or Campaign is a good way of topping off your kills. Or you can just keep playing Multiplayer. No real difference to this challenge.

Close Talking - Earn 30 kills with close quarters combat in multiplayer Matchmaking - 1250cR

30 kills over the day, easy stuff. All you need to do is get in close. Most games start you with an AR anyway and that's a good close combat weapon. The final blow must come from a Shotgun, Sword, Hammer or your own fist. Plasma Pistol at close range is a good weapon. A quick shoot punch, 1 2 combo.

Go Right Ahead Folks - Earn a First Strike in a multiplayer Matchmaking game - 1000cR

The more rounds the better. Games such as Grifball don't have very long rounds but it has a lot of them. More chances to get a First strike medal. If a regular weapon is what you want, Objective games where you swap sides also works. Usually you swap 4 times, so that's 4 chances. You can also arrange this one easily. If you play a 4 v 4 game with 3 other friends, you can make it so you all get a turn (Provided they stay a live long enough)

Un, Deux, Trois - Win 3 games in multiplayer Matchmaking - 1450cR

3 wins, you can't overly force this one. Just play games that you're good at, or games that are mostly luck. Remember, stay to the end. I've seen and played in some impressive turn about games.

Halo Reach Daily Challenges 28/04/2011

It's Thursday, guess what gametypes you'll be playing today.

One Spartan Army - Kill 400 enemies in Firefight Matchmaking - 2000cR

Easiest thing to do, play some Firefight or Scoreattack. You'll need to play 4 games of Scoreattack to get this, as for Firefight, depends on your skills, lag and your allies\rivals skills. As always aim for other challenges first.

Be Their Huckleberry - Kill 50 enemies in Firefight Matchmaking with the pistol - 1000cR

Gruntpocolypse, that pistol will take them down in 1 shot, 2/3 if thy have a mask on. No real challenge either when you can take them out from range. Take your time.

Heroic Spelunking - Kill 150 enemies on Glacier on Heroic in Firefight Matchmaking - 1125cR

All you need to do is select the map from the list. It'll take 2 games if you're playing Scoreattack (Unless you're lucky) so keep searching for it.

Killagruntjaro! - Earn 7 multikills in a Firefight Matchmaking game - 1000cR

Easy stuff, 7 double kills in itself is easy and all those multikills stack. Grunts fall very easily but if you're having a bit of trouble, play on Corvette. If you can lob some grenades into the rooms where the enemies spawn from, that's usually an overkill at least.

Text incoming.

Halo Reach Daily Challenges 27/04/2011

Fire When Ready - Kill 30 enemies in multiplayer Matchmaking - 1100cR

Nice and simple, jump into a multiplayer game you like and start killing. Objective games are good for kills, knowing where the enemy will be heading towards is always a nice bonus. Grifball is always good for speed. Try out Action Sack. Got a bunch of good games there.

Hyper Lethal Vector - Kill 100 enemies with headshots in Firefight Matchmaking - 1000cR

Gruntpocolypse with all those Grunts and you with your Pistol & DMR, very good for headshots. Just take your time and aim. Do it right, you'll be done in one game.

Clip It. Share It - Make a clip from your Local files and upload it to your File Share - 1250cR

Go into theatre mode and load up your most recent film. Record the first moments of it, 1 second to 5 minutes. No difference. Then press x to open up the menu and upload to file share. It's not hard, it's a free 1250cR.

Light Fuse, Run Away - Kill 4 enemies with grenades in a multiplayer Matchmaking game - 1000cR

Personally I went off to the armoury and grabbed a rocket launcher. For this, you can't do that. Longer games are better and objective games work good as well. Having a certain area where enemies will be enables you to aim grenades better. Personally, Invasion is what I'd say, areas for enemies to stand and a good long time to get the kills in.

Halo Reach Daily Challenges 26/04/2011

Covenant-cide - Kill 120 enemies in Firefight Matchmaking - 1100cR

Going Outpost-al - Kill 125 enemies on Outpost on Heroic in Firefight Matchmaking - 1100cR

This pair of challenges go hand in hand. I'm going to suggest that you hit up some Scoreattack x2. That can give you over 125 enemies, though you'll have to kill them before some friendly fire grenades take them out. You may need to keep hitting none of the above for a bit though. Other game types rarely hit more than 120 enemies so it'll be worth it if you make it.

Roast 'em, Toast 'em - Kill 35 enemies while jet-packing in Exodus on Normal 1500cR

As long as you're hitting the use equipment button as you get the kill, it doesn't matter how you kill them. Hold the button while smacking a grunt in the face, that's one down. Best thing to do is start at Rally point Alpha and just grab a Jet pack and Rocket launcher from one of the ODSTs. Keep hitting the first batch of Grunts and reverting to last saved. Infinite Rockets, Infinite Grunts. Problem?

Participation Counts - Complete 4 games in multiplayer Matchmaking - 1200cR

I doubt you need any help here, so short and sweet, start up a game you enjoy and finish it. Don't quit. Who knows, maybe you'll it the jackpot in the slots.

Halo Reach Weekly Challenge 25/04/2011 Endure: The Return

Endure: The Return

Complete four sets on any Firefight map in co-op play on Heroic or harder.

10000cR

There is an easy way to do this, skip to the last paragraph if you wish to get right to it.

So, Firefight Arcade won't cut it. You need to play Firefight limited. 10 shared lives and unlimited time. 5 Waves is 1 round, 3 rounds is 1 set. So you'll be playing for a little while for sure. Best thing to do is avoid random matches. If you can get 4 of your friends together you've got a much bigger chance. Communication and planning will play a huge part in surviving...

That is if custom Firefight matches didn't work fine. You may want to set yourself up a rather enjoyable match of speed rather than points.

http://www.bungie.net/stats/reach/filedetails.aspx?fid=494525

Here's that good old 1 million points in 10 minutes gametype. It's a good speedy gametype for this.

Halo Reach Daily Challenges 25/04/2011

One Spartan Army - Kill 400 enemies in Firefight Matchmaking - 2000cR

Keep on playing Firefight and you'll get this one. 4 games of any Scoreattack will get you it, Firefight is dependant on your skills. No challenge, just kill.

That Pink Mist - Kill 70 enemies with a Supercombine from the Needler or Needle Rifle in Firefight Matchmaking - 1000cR

This will take a few run through. I will suggest you pick something in Firefight with Unlimited ammo and the ability to pick up weapons. Not needing to scrounge for ammo is a life & time saver.

Neuroscience - Kill 10 enemies with headshots in a multiplayer Matchmaking game - 1200cR

Time to pop some heads. SWAT & Snipers is what I see, though, sometimes you need to get rid of that time limit. Thankfully, there are now Objective game modes in SWAT, however, if SWAT isn't your thing and your Sniping skills are, less that good, Try invasion. Objective game with a lot of time and always a Pistol or DMR at hand.

Five-time Champ - Win 5 games in multiplayer Matchmaking - 1750cR

If you just play multiplayer, this will eventually happen. There's no real secret, just play the games that you are good at or enjoy. If you don't fit into either catogory, you can take games of luck in the Action sack area and try your hand.

Halo Reach Daily Challenges 24/04/2011

Covenant-cide – Kill 120 enemies in Firefight Matchmaking – 1100cR

What you want to do is some Scoreattack x2. Gives you 125-130 enemies roughly, this means you're all set after one run through, other game types will end up leaving you short by a few kills.

Cannon Fodder – Kill 100 infantry-class foes in the Campaign today – 1250cR

Mainly Grunts here. Levels that you might want to try are Winter Contingency and Exodus (If you haven't had enough of that level yet). Just play through the level killing everything till you get it.

Flat Tire – Kill 5 enemy vehicles in Firefight Matchmaking – 1000cR

Holdout for a Banshee or 3 and Large maps such as Beachhead for more ground based vehicles. Firefight is more likely to make them appear over score attack so, maybe team up with a friend or 3.

Iron Will – Complete a Campaign mission alone, on Heroic or harder with the Iron Skull on – 2500cR

If you've been doing the LASO challenges solo, this one will be a walk in the park. Heroic isn't that hard of a challenge and as long as you play it slow you'll be fine. I've got a page of some Deathless legendaries up top, all solo so have a look at those if you're stuck, or head to HBO. They always have good walkthroughs.
