Halo Reach Daily Challenge 26/02/2011

Shootin’ and Lootin’ – Kill 400 enemies in any game mode in Reach – 2000cR

Not troublesome, not hard, not challenging. Not entirely Time consuming either. Campaign, Grifball & Firefight will get you this one quickly.

Secondary Fire – Earn 25 assists today in multiplayer Matchmaking – 1875cR

Invasion is good as it starts you with Plasma Pistols and you're always able to see your friend, so focus firing and shield popping are easy to do.

This is My Rifle… – Earn 77 kills with precision weapons in multiplayer Matchmaking – 1400cR

SWAT & Snipers are my Suggestions. Games that start you with Precision Weapons. Invasion can also be done but you may not always get your hands on a precision weapon.

The Magic Number – Complete 7 games in multiplayer Matchmaking – 1350cR

Some say 3 is the magic number, we Bungie followers know different, just finish 7 games. No challenge, just enjoy the game.

Halo Reach Daily Challenge 25/02/2011

Sorry for my lateness, I've been floor port hunting for work.

More than Handful – Kill 77 enemies in multiplayer Matchmaking – 2310cR

Certainly an odd amount of cR. Anyway, for speed, Grifball & Multi-Team, other than that, very easy & basic.

Sticky Icky Icky – Earn 3 sticky grenade Kills in a mutliplayer Matchmaking game – 1250cR

Invasion is what I'll suggest, the Elites spawn with the Plasmas and you will get 1 turn as playing as them. So go nuts, throw some blue balls.

Now I have a Machine Gun – Earn 100 kills with automatic weapons in multiplayer Matchmaking – 1500cR

Needler, Plasma Repeater & Assault Rifle. These are the main weapons you'll get more commonly and also the weapons everyone spawns with in invasion. Just try and stay far enough away to avoid the melee hit.

Vengeance Found – Earn your ‘Revenge’ in a mutliplayer Matchmaking game – 1000cR

I believe Arena Doubles has been removed so if it has, any game type with a smaller amount of enemies is better. Snipers can work well due to the camping nature 9Knowing where the guy who killed you was, or you can try for Living dead, People stand out rather well and still camp so it's not hard to find them (Just killing them is the hard part). Grifball is another one you can try, the speed of it all shouldn't mean it'll take to long. Most people are often distracted by the ball or defending it so hunting down your killer shouldn't be overly hard.

Halo Reach Daily Challenge 24/02/2011

Back to the old Thursday Firefight.

Covenant-cide – Kill 120 enemies in Firefight Matchmaking – 1100cR

Very simple, I can't really help you here. Just go for other challenges and you'll easily get it.

Just Holdout -Kill 150 enemies on Holdout in Firefight Matchmaking – 1125cR
…And Recreation – Kill 100 enemies on Beachhead on Heroic in Firefight Matchmaking – 1000cR

Going to combine these two as it's exactly the same thing. Head into Scoreattack and keep "none of the above"ing till you get the map required. Then, select a gametype and have some fun.

Hyper Lethal Vector – Kill 100 enemies with headshots in Firefight Matchmaking – 1000 cR

A DMR bullet to a Grunt head can be a rather explosive site and one that's rather easy to get. Play some Gruntpocolypse on one of the maps above.

Once again, little actual challenge, just some bonus points for playing the game.

Halo Reach Daily Challenge 23/02/2011

More than a Handful – Kill 25 enemies in multiplayer Matchmaking – 1000cR

Won't take you more than 2/3 games, if you play the right gametype and/or have enough skill, you might be lucky and get it in 1 (Multi-Team/Grifball)

Blast Radius – Kill 75 enemies in Firefight Matchmaking with grenades – 1250cR

75 is a large amount, it'll certainly take you a couple of games unless you scour the map looking for them. If you do Corvette, you can lob Grenades into the monster rooms and get a few quick kills. The ramp down from the top doors can hold quite a few enemies. Also try retreating into the spawn area. That long tunnel will funnel them into a compact group. Easier Grenade Kills.

The Little Guys – Kill 75 Grunts in Campaign today on Normal or harder – 1000cR

Just find some Grunt Heavy levels, Winter Contingency, Nightfall, Exodus. Do what you enjoy. May take a few reverts though. 75 is quite a few.

The Love of the Game – Complete 20 games in multiplayer Matchmaking – 2000cR

Easy stuff, just play a multiplayer game to the end. Enjoy yourself and play games you like or keep it short & sweet.

Halo Reach Daily Challenges 22/02/2011

I'll be getting around to the weekly once I've gotten home tonight. After 2 hourrs playing the mission though and making some dumb mistakes (We thought we could try triggering the radio station while he was at the gun, long story short, I was stuck by the radio, surrounded by Elites, Jackals, Grunts the Ghost that was Hijacked from me and a Reverent). Now though, let's do the Dailies.

Light Fare – Kill 100 enemies in any game mode in Reach – 1000cR

Easy, just do anything in Halo Reach that requires you to kill enemies. Go for other challenges and see what you still need to do after.

Just Hold On… – Complete 6 Rounds in Firefight Matchmaking without Dying – 1500cR

6 Rounds is a fair amount of time, plus surviving them. Overall, not worth the points in my opinion, if you want to go for it though, do it. The points from the games will add a nice bonus.

Points Pyramid – Score 25,000 points on any Campaign mission – 1500cR

It's this old favourite again. All right people, this is very easy once you know how. Start Long Night of Solace from Rally Point Alpha (You've just got in the Sabre) Stick it Legendary and put on all Gold Skulls (and and silvers you want). You'll done in less than 5 mins. Banshees are still instakill, Seraphs may be a tad troublesome, but nothing over challenging.

Freelancing – Earn at least 21 kills in a multiplayer Matchmaking game – 2100cR

You won't be getting this in your standard Slayer games (Unless you're really stupidly good) so my advice would be to head on over to Grifball/Living Dead as always. These games give you the Chaos and weak enemies you need (I say that so often now). You can go for Multi-Team if you're up for it. Multi-Team Slayer is still a viable option so I'll let you decided (Not that I can force you)

Halo Reach Weekly Challenge 21/02/2011 ONI: LASO

ONI: LASO

Complete ONI, Legendary, All Skulls On (LASO).

11000cR

I won't claim to know what to do here. All I know is that the enemies are much stronger, faster, drop less ammo and that you have non-recharging shields, no shield bar, no ammo counter, no motion tracker and no reticule.

In a nutshell, combined with this mission, you're in trouble. Some pointers I can give you before I hand this over to some guys who do know what they're doing. The Artillery will recharge and give you another shot. It'll take a while and you won't know when but it will. Also, once you've sorted out one of the two objectives, head back on yourself for the next one, don't head the long way round.

I will suggest you do this one 2 player. Having two points to hit, if you do it with 2 people you will not have to deal with a bunch of enemies. Plus having 2 people take on Hunters will be a blessing.

Once you get the Rocket Launcher. Focus on the Elites that land on the platform. No matter what Emile tells you, he can easily take out all the Banshees. Save your rockets for survival.

Those are some key points. As for the the mission itself, Once I've completed it I'll be able to give you much more in depth help. I'll also add a video, but until then I'll leave you with these guys

http://halo.bungie.org/gameplay/reach_mythic/sb.html

HBO know what they're doing. (Thanks to Matt for reminding me this things exist)

I hope to do it tonight but I doubt it.

AS for you guys, have fun and good luck.

Halo Reach Daily Challenge 21/02/2011

Due to a new work schedule, I won't be updating on time too often. I'll try, but no promises. As for the weekly, well, I think I'll need to do some detective work on that.

Covenant-cide – Kill 120 enemies in Firefight Matchmaking – 1100 cR

Just jump in and play. You might be lucky and get all the Grunts in Gruntpocolypse, but I doubt it. At least 1 will suicide. Just play a couple of Scoreattacks or Firefight.

A Friend in Need – Earn 10 assists in Firefight Matchmaking – 1000 cR

Let your Friend know who you've just shot, let them finish them off. Not to hard to do. Try grabbing a Plasma Pistol.

Short, Controlled Bursts – Kill 100 enemies with automatic weapons in the Campaign today – 1000 cR

Rather straight forward. Grab yourself an Assault Rifle and have fun. Winter Contingency is a nice mission due to the large amounts of AR ammo you get.

A Solid Outing – Earn at least 12 kills in a multiplayer Matchmaking game – 1300 cR

Grifball, Living Dead, Multiteam. All very good gametypes for this. Chaos and distracter enemies are your prime targets.

Halo Reach Daily Challenge 20/02/2011

Come on guys, last push for the weekly. The challenges are here to help you today.

One Spartan Army – Kill 150 enemies in Firefight Matchmaking – 1125cR

Just hop into some Firefight matchmaking of your choice. The game isn't that fussed.

Killagruntjaro! – Earn 25 multikills in a Firefight Matchmaking game – 1500cR

You can either go with the large number of rounds and head into Firefight with Rockets, FRG or even Fist Fight, or you can play it safe in Gruntpocolypse.

A Simple Spree – Earn any spree in Firefight Matchmaking – 1000cR

Rocketfight. If you don't get 10 kills with that thing before meeting your maker, especially on the early levels, I don't know how to help.

Killing Spree – Earn a Killing Spree in multiplayer Matchmaking – 1000cR

For this one, you can either stay back in an objective game, or Grifball/Living Dead it up. Your choice, Pick what works for you.
