Halo Reach Daily Challenges 16/04/2011

Light Fare – Kill 100 enemies in any game mode in Reach – 1000cR

Nice and simple, you get half of this from one challenge and to finish that match you'll get over 100 kills. So this one, just leave alone. You'll end up getting it by getting the other challenges.

Came From Behind – Perform 3 Assassinations in a multiplayer Matchmaking game – 1200cR

Fairly Challenging this one. You can go in Slayer or Objective and give yourself some Active Camo or Sprint/Evade, or you can try the more wacky game types. I certainly know that in Action Sack, I've been assassinated a fair few times in Hockey & Halo Ball Extreme. Get an enemy while they're distracted.

Be Their Huckleberry – Kill 50 enemies in Firefight Matchmaking with the Pistol – 1000cR

Play some Gruntpocolypse, that'll give you a good 115+ enemies and a lot of pistol ammo. They die quickly so not that challenging. Just remember to restock on the ammo.

L.D. Winter – Complete Winter Contingency, without dying, on Legendary with Mythic, Thunderstorm, Tilt and Tough Luck on – 5000cR

Halo Reach Daily Challenges 15/04/2011

More than a Handful - Kill 25 enemies in multiplayer Matchmaking - 1000cR

Nice and simple this one, doesn't need to be in one game, just over the course of the day. 2 games of anything will either get you it or put you right on the brink of getting it. So I see 3 games max for this one (Provided killing is your main priority. Grifball for speed but really, no problems no matter what you pick.

Sticky Icky Icky - Earn 5 sticky grenade Kills in a multiplayer Matchmaking game - 1400cR

A bit of a challenge this one. First of all, gametype I would suggest is invasion, lots of time and Plasma grenades. You need to stick the enemy with the Plasma grenade to get points towards this one. Hitting them dead centre can be somewhat troublesome. Best chances are to sneak up on people when they are standing still, rather than an assassination.

Another good way is to engage in close combat. When they punch you, likely hood of them being directly in front of you and at point blank range, very likely. Although you'll probably end up killing yourself, it's one more to the pile and with 5 of these needed in one game, you'll need as many as you can get away with. Just hope they don't have Armour lock.

Make a Wish... - Earn a Running Riot in a multiplayer Matchmaking game - 2500cR

15 in a row. Like a couple of days ago, this one is troublesome. Best shot, Living dead, if you can stay alive and get the kills early, you're set. Other ways of getting it are to have Armour lock and have a platoon of armed body guards. Grifball is another option, although you'll want to be careful, one mistake and there goes your spree.

Credits for Completion - Complete 5 games in multiplayer Matchmaking - 1250cR

Simple, just play. Don't quit if things aren't going your way, just stick to the end and not only do you get more cR, you're more likely to get a Bonus amount from the slots. getting 7777cR out of that is very nice.

Halo Reach Daily Challenges 14/04/2011

Shootin' and Lootin' - Kill 400 enemies in any game mode in Reach - 2000cR

Nice and simple, get 400 kills in the game through custom games, campaign, multiplayer or Firefight. You just happen to have a lot of Firefight today, so once again, leave this to the end and pick up the final kills however you want.

Hyper Lethal Vector - Kill 150 enemies with headshots in Firefight Matchmaking - 1125cR

Easiest way to do this, Gruntpocolypse. The DMR & Pistol are both nice weapons that headshot and the Grunts fall down, very easily.

A Simple Spree - Earn any spree in Firefight Matchmaking - 1000cR

Very simple once again. Go out there and kill either, 10 enemies in a row, or 5 enemies in a row with certain spree able weapons. Sniper & Shotgun would be the likely candidates in Scoreattack & Firefight.

On the Sixth Respawn... - Complete a Firefight Matchmaking game with fewer than 5 death - 2000cR

Other than playing it smart, not much you can really do. I would suggest picking the simpler gametypes, Gruntpocolypse is an easy one. Keep the distance long and watch out for fuel rods. Also, remember to look for grenades that can cause chain reactions. You can watch whole areas go up due to the large concentration of them. Other than that, go nuts.

Halo Reach Daily Challenges 13/04/2011

Light Fare - Kill 100 enemies in any game mode in Reach - 1000cR

Nothing you can't handle. The other challenges will certainly push you far over this amount. If you want to just go for this, stick yourself in a custom Firefight game where the enemies are plentiful and your rockets unlimited.

Points, Points – Score 40,000 in a Firefight Matchmaking game – 2000cR

You'll want to play some Firefight, Scoreattack isn't going to cut it. Plug in a spare controller, the guest will give you an extra pull over the vote and more kills to go around. If you have a friend who has a spare controller, bring him in too. 4 players, 2 people, enough kills and points to go around.

Apparently you can get caught out with this and be punished. Not sure how true that is but it's not something I would enjoy so much. So, go around it the other way. Get a bunch of 4 of you together. Limited gives you a certain amount of lives but you can go on forever, theoretically. Arcade gives you 15 mins, but if you die a lot, better option.

Mostly at Night – Complete Nightfall on Legendary without dying – 1700cR

Well, we have the way of the gun, http://www.hattedhalofox.co.uk/2010/12/solo-legendary-mostly-at-night.html

Or the way of the knife, http://www.hattedhalofox.co.uk/2011/03/halo-reach-weekly-challenge-07032011.html

Personally, I've always been a fan of stealth and avoidance.

Killing Frenzy – Earn a Killing Frenzy in a multiplayer Matchmaking game – 2000cR

A bugger to get be this one. A Killing Frenzy is 15 10 kills without being bumped off yourself. The way to this one is to avoid Slayer gametypes. They won't give you enough time or opportunity to get this challenge. One way to achieve this challenge is to play objective games. Defending an area from a good distance away is a way to get the kills. Although if someone gets annoyed, you can find them continuously hunting you down.

Living Dead is a good way of doing this. The Zombies are weak and you have enough ammo to keep killing for a good 30 kills. The only problem will be surviving long enough. Although the kills are easy, you'll be right in the action zone. One mistake or one large push can knock you out.

If you play Grifball right, you could make it work, If you have the bomb, you can survive a lot more than you think. Time it right and you can plough through an entire team with your bomb arm. It is once again, putting you right in the action zone.

Halo Reach Daily Challenges 12/04/2011

Thank all you guys for making yesterday the greatest day in this sites history. I'm going to say that's all the weekly challenges help. I managed to get 119000 points on Long Night of Solace LASO style During the whole Sabre fight. Only took 10 minutes. So this challenge does seem hard, but overall, not so bad. It is still possible to do it the old fashion way, start a mission on Heroic or Legendary and play all the way through with a bunch of skulls on, but speed running it is always more fun.

Shootin' and Lootin' - Kill 400 enemies in any game mode in Reach - 2000cR

Nice and easy this one, play the game, if you're looking for speed, start a custom Firefight game, make the enemies Elite Heretics and make them a one hit kill. Now, beef yourself up to max and take a weapon of choice. Time will fly.

Flat Tire - Kill 10 enemy vehicles in Firefight Matchmaking - 1125cR

This is the annoying one. Large maps such as Beachhead & Unearthed contain a few vehicles. Can be rather random in getting them though. Best shot is on Holdout. That Banshee like to come around a few times. Grab a few good anti-Banshee weapons and knock it out the sky. It will respawn every once in a while. Apart from that, just keep playing and hope for vehicles. More likely in Firefight but Scoreattack will give you that Banshee.

Golden Opportunity - Find and kill the Gold Ranger-class Elite in any Campaign mission on Heroic or harder - 2500cR

This one is rather easy, On winter contingency, you are guaranteed 1 Elite and possibly another one on the way down to the marines (If you're on Legendary). The first one is right as you start. Past the distress signal he is running the way you need to go. You need to kill him quick though. He's got his camo on but you can see a data pad on his back. Take him out and done. If that's a bit hard for you (It is a tricky one) the second one is just just after you get in the vehicles. - I have been told differently now. I was sure he was Golden. Though my memory is a pile of rubbish.

Once you get in the vehicle, stick to the right, as you take the hill down to the marines, the Elite will possibly be on the right. e will usually wield a Concussion Rifle. Best tactic, Ram Him. The elite cant withstand a full on strike from a Jeep. If you miss, jump out and take him down. Something I've found though, is that, if he disappears, if you revert, he has a high chance of being back there.

Still having Trouble, try this website, http://www.videogamesblogger.com/2010/09/29/halo-reach-golden-elites-locations-guide-xbox-360.htm

Neuroscience - Kill 10 enemies with headshots in a multiplayer Matchmaking game - 1200cR

Apparently was in the top set of hardest challenges, although that was 12 headshots. Still, tactic is the same, SWAT. Headshots everywhere, just be careful to not run into enemies. If SWAT isn't your thing, Invasion is your best bet. lots of time to score those 10 headshots in 2 rounds.

Halo Reach Weekly Challenge 11/04/2011 Not Lough, High

Not Lough, High

Earn a score of 80,000 in any mission in the Reach Campaign.

7777cR

Updates under regular post.

Right, now this one doesn't appear too hard. Although this is coming from someone who doesn't have a console with him right at this point in time. I think your best bet may be related to last weeks challenge. Stick all skulls on and start Long Night of Solace. Only this time, rather than from the beginning, start from rally point alpha. You spent a lot of time in that Sabre and those points rack up rather quickly. It's something to look into, so if anyone wants to try that and let me know the results soonish, that would be great.

Update:
Couple of notes from comments. Long Night of Solace has a nice spot where you can steal a Wraith and unleash blobs of Blue plasma against a wave of unlimited enemies. Could be a bit risky but it might help rack up points before the Sabre fight if needs be.

New Alexandria, another vehicle one. You fly the falcon and the Banshees fly right into the grenade launch rounds your AI launch. Possibly Machine gun if you loose your original Falcon.

Finally, The Package. When you're in that Scorpion at the beginning, there are a tonne of banshees to take out. I think they keep coming for a long time actually. Another thing I'll test.

Have fun, I'll update more info if it's needed.

Halo Reach Daily Challenges 11/04/2011

Another week, time to start heading forward with these challenges again.

Gunslinger - Kill 75 enemies in multiplayer Matchmaking - 2250cR

Simple start, enter multiplayer and start shooting, stabbing and exploding anything that appears as enemy. Grifball and Multi team will give you the speed boost in racking up these kills.

Short, Controlled Bursts - Kill 100 enemies with automatic weapons in the Campaign today - 1000cR

Moving on to Campaign now, Winter Contingency has many grunts and a whole heap of AR ammo. You can cut them all down rather quickly and get this challenge in no time. It doesn't say anything about difficulty, but with most cases, I'm going to assume it's normal + above.

The Little Guys - Kill 135 Grunts in Campaign today on Normal or harder - 1200cR

This is a challenge that goes mostly hand in hand with the above challenge. If you want grunts only, try Exodus. Many grunts there and a very nice bit where you get a bunch of them together and a Rocket launcher (Jet pack section, rally point Alpha).

Hyper Lethal Vector - Kill 150 enemies with headshots in Firefight Matchmaking - 1125cR

A couple Gruntpocolypse go a long way here. 2 games with the DMR & Pistol give you plenty of headshots.

Now that's done, time for the weekly.

Halo Reach Daily Challenges 10/04/2011

One Spartan Army – Kill 100 enemies in Firefight Matchmaking – 1000cR

100 is a nice number. You usually get around 115-120 in most scoreattack modes, 125 in x2. Any 1 game is enough for this challenge.

Return of the Mack – Kill 50 Elites in the Campaign today on Normal or harder – 1700cR

As usual, find a level that has a nice helping of Elites in one are, kill then and revert to saved. Nightfall with the Sniper is good, Long Night of Solace, Lone Wolf is useful too. Most of the enemies there are Elites, although it's a bit of a hit and miss on how many you'll get. If you use the turrets, Rockets, Laser and Sniper, you can get a good 20 kills. 10 is a good enough amount though.

Blast Radius – Kill 40 enemies in Firefight Matchmaking with Grenades – 1000cR

Corvette is what you want. Those monster Rooms are brilliant for picking up a quick 7-8 kills. The hardest part is keeping yourself stocked on grenades. You;ll need to move about the map, let some enemies get to you. I also suggest Gruntpocolypse.

Go Right Ahead Folks – Earn a First Strike in a multiplayer Matchmaking game – 1000cR

The more rounds, the better. A slayer game will only have 1 opportunity. Invasion, 2. Living Dead 3, Grifball, anywhere from 5 - 9. Objective is where you want to be.
