If you're looking for an easy way to get the weekly challenge, Today is a good day to do. If you haven't got it, you've only got today & tomorrow so I'd suggest today, just in case tomorrow is evil.
Light Fare - Kill 100 enemies in any game mode in Reach - 1000cR
A nice simple challenge. Any game mode so it's a nice day to just get on with the Multiplayer challenges and finish off if you need, with a bit of Firefight, be it custom or matchmaking.
Up Close and Personal - Kill 3 enemies with close quarters combat in a multiplayer Matchmaking game - 1000cR
Close Talking - Earn 40 kills with close quarters combat in multiplayer Matchmaking - 1300cR
Same tactics for both of these. Gametypes where it's practically exclusive Close combat weapons are Living Dead (Pistol the odd one out), Shotgun Assault and Grifball. Grifball is where I'd place everything today. If you want to mix it up a bit, Shotgun, Hammer, Sword and Melee kills are the ways you can go.
Credits for Completion - Complete 6 games in multiplayer Matchmaking - 1300cR
Just sit, play and stay. Also, Don't AFK.
